CapsiClear is a unique combination of carotenoids sourced from Capsicum annum, Indian red chilies, grown by contract cultivation in southern India. It is standardized to 50 percent capsanthin and works synergistically with zeaxanthin and cryptoxanthin to provide eye health benefits beyond what many other ingredients do. Like other vision health ingredients, CapsiClear supports proper management of macular pigment density and helps to protect the eyes from the effects of blue light. Its key differentiators, according to two clinical studies on the novel ingredient, is that the capsanthin extract provides support for photostress recovery to help with eye fatigue, reading speed improvements over white and blue light, and is vital in helping reduce intraocular pressure (IOP).
