Quality, Controlled

The quality of an ingredient affects both its safety and effectiveness. While most raw material suppliers to the dietary supplement and functional foods industries offer quality ingredients, adulteration and failure to meet specifications are all-too-common problems. That is why it is critical that your ingredient supplier has the proper quality controls in place.

Everyone talks about quality, but what does it really mean? There is, in fact, a precise answer to this question. According to FDA’s Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, quality means that a dietary supplement:

  1. Consistently meets the established specifications for identity, purity, strength, and composition, as well as limits on contaminants
  2. Has been manufactured, packaged, labeled, and held under conditions to prevent adulteration

From our partners’ cGMP manufacturing facility, to our cadre of third-party accreditations and certifications, to our partners’ state-of-the-art analytical testing facilities, Unibar goes to great lengths to ensure the quality of ingredients.
